Health and Personal Social Services (Amendment) Bill: Committee Deliberations
The Chairperson (Ms Maeve McLaughlin): We now commence deliberations on the Health and Personal Social Services (Amendment) Bill. The relevant papers are in members' meeting packs. During last week's deliberations, it was agreed to seek a ministerial assurance on whether the power in clause 2 to disclose information about a person's fitness to practise was in line with a person's data protection rights under other legislation. The response from the Minister is in your pack. If members have no comments to make or any additional issues to raise, I ask whether they are content to conclude the informal deliberations on the Health and Personal Social Services (Amendment) Bill.
Members indicated assent.
The Chairperson (Ms Maeve McLaughlin): Questions on the clauses will be put formally at next week's meeting, which is on 27 January.
