Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) (Amendment No. 9) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2020
The Chairperson (Mr Gildernew): SR 2020/193 enabled a regional approach to be taken to removals and additions to the list of exempt countries and territories in respect of post-travel self-isolation requirements, thereby excluding the Greek islands of Lesvos, Tinos, Serifos, Crete, Mykonos, Santorini and Zakynthos from the list of exempt countries, and it amends the list of specified competitions relevant to the exemption from the requirement to self-isolate for elite sportspeople. The Examiner of Statutory Rules has reported that the SR was laid in breach of the 21-day rule but that she is content with the Department's reason for that. This rule is subject to negative resolution. Do members have any further issues that they wish to raise in connection with that specific rule? I ask members to agree formally that the Committee for Health has considered SR2020/193, the Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) (Amendment No. 9) Regulations (NI) 2020 and has no objection to the rule.
Question put and agreed to.
The Chairperson (Mr Gildernew): Members have agreed that we write to the Minister expressing our dissatisfaction.
