Question:
To ask the Minister for Employment and Learning how many counsellors have been trained by each university, in the last 5 years.

Answer:

As the Department does not hold the information requested, my officials contacted Queen’s University, the University of Ulster and the Open University. The universities have indicated that a total of 902 students have completed counselling courses in the last 5 years.

I have placed details of the universities responses in the Assembly Library and on my department’s website http://www.delni.gov.uk.
