Question:
To ask the Minister for Employment and Learning how many adults aged over nineteen with special needs are enrolled as students, broken down by educational facility.

Answer:

In answering this question the term ‘Special Needs’ has been defined as the number of students aged 19 and over who reported a disability. Figures are presented separately for the Northern Ireland Higher Education Institutions, Further Education Colleges and Training providers in 2011/12. These have been placed in the Assembly Library and on my department’s website at http://www.delni.gov.uk/.
