Question:
To ask the Minister for Regional Development if his Department has had any discussions with cycling clubs regarding the use of public highways and road safety.

Answer:

Roads Service Road Safety Policy Manager has had frequent meetings with representatives from Cycling Touring Clubs and Sustrans on road safety and 20 mph speed limit issues. That official also meets with cycling representatives at meetings of the Road Safety Forum which was established 2 years ago by the DOE Minister. This forum still meets twice a year.
