Question:
To ask the Minister for Social Development to detail area in the North Belfast constituency which was covered by the ring fencing of social house construction when it was in operation.

Answer:

The attached map* shows the strategy area (coloured blue). Suitable housing sites were in limited supply within this boundary so that, in order to address the chronic shortage of housing, the Bawnmore, Mill Road and Longlands areas were identified as potential overspill areas to meet this need. This overspill area is coloured red.

The area covered by the ‘ring fencing’ includes both these areas.
