Question:
To ask the Assembly Commission how much the Assembly paid in pension contributions in respect of the Principal Deputy Speaker from the date that she ceased to be a Member until the date she resigned as Principal Deputy Speaker.


Answer:
Pension contributions are paid in accordance with the Assembly Members (Pensions) Determination (Northern Ireland) 2016 at a rate of 14.4% of pay before deductions for tax.
The contribution made by the Commission in respect of the Principal Deputy Speaker was £5,851.93 from the date of ceasing to be a Member until the date of resignation.
