Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure, in light of the public inquiry that is due to take place next month, to outline the latest developments regarding the commencement of the A5 Western Transport Corridor.

Answer:

Subject to the satisfactory and successful conclusion of all statutory procedures and all necessary environmental assessments, I am hopeful that first phase of this scheme, from New Buildings to north of Strabane (Phase 1A) could commence in late 2020 / early 2021 with completion in 2023.
