Question:
To ask the Minister of Justice how many victims of human trafficking have successfully claimed compensation under the criminal injury compensation scheme in each of the last five years; and how much money they received from the scheme.


Answer:
Over the last five years there have been no successful applications from victims of human trafficking under the Criminal Injury Compensation Scheme. There have been a total of 10 applications during this period, eight of which have been denied and two are currently being processed by Compensation Services.
