Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure whether she plans to release funding for the Lagan pedestrian and cycle bridge.

Answer:

The Lagan Pedestrian and Cycle Bridge is one of three projects being taken forward by my Department as part of the Belfast City Region Deal. Outline Business Cases for all projects are to be submitted by spring 2020 to allow Belfast Region City Deal partners to consider priorities and funding.

The approval to proceed with the Lagan Pedestrian and Cycle Bridge and the budget to deliver it will also be subject to Executive approval. I remain committed to supporting the delivery of City Deals that will enhance our economy and increase opportunities for our communities.
