To ask the Minister of Health to detail the number of abortions that have been performed in Northern Ireland since 1 January 2020.

Answer:

From the 1 January 2020 to 30 March 2020 there were seven terminations of pregnancy carried out in HSC Hospitals in Northern Ireland. Since The Abortion (Northern Ireland) Regulations 2020 came into force on 31 March 2020 the Department of Health has received 1091 notifications of termination
