Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure (i) for an update on the proposed continuation of the A6 from Lismacarol Roundabout to Gransha Roundabout,; and (ii) for the proposed timescale for completion.

Answer:
Phase 2 of the A6 Derry to Dungiven road project extends from Drumahoe to the A2 Caw roundabout. In addition to this 7km section of new dual carriageway, the scheme also includes an upgrade of the A2 Clooney Road dual carriageway between the Caw and Maydown roundabouts. The estimated cost for the scheme is around £200m and it forms part of the A6 Flagship Project. Part of the A6 works will encroach on the Mobuoy waste site and the final design will need to take this into account.
Delivery of this phase of the project, which is not part of the current Dungiven to Drumahoe construction contract, will be dependent on a range of factors including future budget settlements.
