To ask the Minister for the Economy (i) to detail the rise in foreign investment enquiries since the Protocol came into effect, in comparison to the previous three years; and (ii) for his assessment of the reasons for this rise.

Answer:

The new inward investment enquiry level for the period Jan-Oct 2021 is broadly consistent with the levels in the same period in the previous 3 years and does not indicate an above average increase.
