To ask the Minister for the Economy whether his Department will carry out an economic impact assessment on the administrative changes for conformity markings on manufactured products delivered to or from Great Britain after 1 January 2023.

ANSWER

Conformity assessment and marking of manufactured goods are reserved matters, in the remit of the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). It is therefore not within my Department’s remit to conduct a full economic impact assessment.
