Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure what plans are being brought forward for the further upgrade of the A32 between Omagh and Fermanagh.

Answer:

A route improvement strategy for the A32 Omagh to Enniskillen identified a number of upgrade schemes. To date, my Department has delivered two schemes along this route: an on-line improvement at Drumskinny and an off-line realignment at Shannaragh.

Of the remaining schemes that were identified, the proposed off-line realignment at Cornamuck is at the most advanced stage. The design and development work, together with the necessary statutory processes, have all been completed. My Department has also progressed to Preferred Route stage on another proposed scheme at Kilgortnaleague. The further progression of these schemes is subject to a number of factors, including the availability of funding.
