Question:
To ask the Minister of Justice how many EU acts, containing provision which rests within the devolved competence of her Department, were included in the Annexes to the Northern Ireland Protocol on (i) 1 January 2021; and (ii) 1 September 2022.

Revised Answer:

There are four EU Acts, containing provision which rests within the devolved competence of my Department, which were included in the Annexes to the Northern Ireland Protocol on 1 January 2021.

The EU Legislation Information Tracking System (EULITS) which will track and monitor all legislation that falls within the scope of the Protocol is not yet operational. Once the system is active, we will be in a position to provide numbers of EU laws in force as at 1 September 2022.
