Question:
To ask the Minister of Finance how many EU acts, containing provision which rests within devolved competence of his Department, were included in the Annexes to the Northern Ireland Protocol on (i) 1 January 2021; and (ii) 1 September 2022.

Answer:

There were no EU acts, containing provision which rests within the devolved competence of my Department, included in the Annexes to Protocol on 1 January 2021.

The EU Legislation Information Tracking System (EULITS), which will track and monitor all legislation that falls within the scope of the Protocol, is not yet operational. Once the system is active, I will be in a position to provide the numbers of EU laws in force as at 1 September 2022.
