‘recognises that students have faced financial distress which has impacted significantly on their mental health; further recognises that the universities' hardship funds apply strict criteria that prevent many deserving students from successfully applying for financial assistance; regrets that it took 11 months for students to be eligible for financial support;’

‘supports a full refund for students who have already paid, or will pay, fees for education in 2020-21; and calls on the Minister for the Economy to address these inequalities, to ensure that all students who are currently excluded from the Covid Disruption Payment receive the £500 payment and to adopt a strategy to ensure that students are fully reimbursed for these education costs.’
