Leave out all after ‘citizens;’ and insert:
‘further recognises, with view to ensuring that no community is left behind, the importance of supporting those who have demonstrated a desire to move permanently away from paramilitary activity; shares the view expressed by the Independent Reporting Commission that without engagement with paramilitary groups, or scoping the potential for a formal group transition process, there is little or no chance of ending paramilitarism once and for all; and calls on the First Minister and deputy First Minister to refresh the Tackling Paramilitarism, Criminality and Organised Crime Programme, Urban Villages Initiative and Communities in Transition Project, as key actions within the final Programme for Government, in order to genuinely tackle the scourge of paramilitarism in our society and create better opportunities for those living in affected areas.’

‘welcomes the Executive’s decision to extend funding for the Programme for Tackling Paramilitary Activity and Organised Crime until 2027; further welcomes its commitment to identify a sustainable delivery model, beyond programmatic delivery, to address paramilitary criminality in a manner that encourages the embedding and scaling up of successful approaches; calls on the UK Government to confirm its match funding for the Programme; and further calls on the First Minister and deputy First Minister to embed a cross-government and cross-Executive approach to tackling paramilitarism and reducing harm in the Programme for Government through a stand-alone mission on Peace and Peacebuilding.’
