Question:
To ask the Minister for Regional Development for an estimate of the potential savings over the next five years as a result of the proposed reductions in rail services on the Larne Line.

Answer:

Timetables for the Larne line are still in draft. However Translink have informed me that the proposed reduction in services between Whitehead and Larne, are expected to yield operational cost savings in the region of £500,000 to £700,000 per year over the next five years.
