Question:
To ask the Minister of Health, Social Services and Public Safety whether his Department plans to close Lisgarel Residential Home, Larne.

Answer:

Lisgarel Residential Home in Larne currently provides permanent residential placements, respite care and a number of intermediate care beds. The respite care and intermediate care beds are intended to provide short-term support for older people with a view to enabling them to return to live in their own homes.

Any plans regarding the future of Lisgarel will be subject to consultation and will be shared with local communities prior to any implementation.
