Question:
To ask the Minister of Health, Social Services and Public Safety for his assessment of the Northern Health and Social Care Trust’s proposal to withdraw from provision of residential care home accommodation.

Answer:

The Northern HSC Trust is in the process of finalising their population plans which will address the future of statutory residential care, in response to recommendations within the Transforming Your Care report.

Once the Trust population plan is completed this will be presented to me for consideration. It would be inappropriate for me to make any assessments before I have had sight of the proposals.
