Question:
To ask the First Minister and deputy First Minister following the publication of 'Advancing Transgender Equality - A Plan For Action' by the Home Office and the meeting of the Junior Ministers with the Northern Ireland Transgender Forum, what steps are being taken to develop a transgender strategy.

Answer:

We are well aware of the Home Office’s publication “Advancing Transgender Equality – A Plan for Action”. There are, however, no plans to develop a separate local Transgender Strategy. Transgender issues will be considered during the review of the Gender Equality Strategy.
