Question:
To ask the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development to detail (i) the number of Civil Servants from her Department who have left work early since 3 December 2012 due to unrest; and (ii) the associated financial cost to her departmental budget.

Answer:

The Department has not put any arrangements in place to allow staff to leave work outside normal working hours because of the recent disruptive protests. As such, there is no associated financial cost to the departmental budget.
