Question:
To ask the First Minister and deputy First Minister for an update on the devolution of corporation tax.

Answer:

The Government has previously indicated its intention to make a decision on the devolution of Corporation Tax this autumn, with an announcement to be made no later than the coming Autumn Statement, which is expected to be on

3 December 2014.

In addition, it has previously stated that if it did decide to devolve responsibility for the rate of corporation tax in the autumn, then a stand-alone Bill would be introduced in the normal way, with the aim of it becoming law before the prorogation of Parliament prior to the 2015 Westminster Elections.
