To ask the Minister of Finance and Personnel to detail the input his Department will have in setting the district rate for ratepayers in new super-councils where there is disparity between the existing councils.

Answer:

My Department will have no input in relation to the setting of district rates for councils following the reorganisation of local government.

The setting of district rates is entirely a matter for the new councils.
