To ask the Minister for Social Development how his Department are addressing the delay between a claim for Personal Independence Payment and the receipt of money, which is resulting in an average waiting time of six months for people with a disability.

Personal Independence Payment has not been introduced in Northern Ireland. It is part of the Welfare Reform Bill which has not completed its passage through the Northern Ireland Assembly.
