Question:
To ask the Minister of Education whether he will expand the Extended Schools’ Programme to provide funding for eligible schools in 2015/16.

Answer:

I regard the Extended Schools programme as a critical part of my overall strategy for school improvement by responding to the needs of pupils, parents, families and the local community.

The level of Extended Schools funding will be considered in the context of my overall spending plans for education which I am currently finalising for 2015/16.
