Question:
To ask the Minister for Regional Development what plans he has to ensure that free travel passes for the over 60s are extended to cover the United Kingdom, as well as throughout Ireland.

Answer:
I have no plans at present to seek reciprocity of free travel arrangements in England, Scotland and Wales. There are no plans to reduce the qualifying age for the free travel scheme in the south, so it would not be feasible to reduce the age for cross-border travel for residents of the north.
