To ask the Minister of Culture, Arts and Leisure for an update on a Government E-strategy for Northern Ireland.

Answer:

E-safety is an issue of relevance to a number of Northern Ireland departments requiring a cross-government response. It has been agreed that the Safeguarding Board for Northern Ireland (SBNI) should be formally commissioned to develop a Northern Ireland e-safety strategy and produce an e-safety action plan on behalf of the Northern Ireland Executive. My Department has committed to a financial contribution to facilitate the development of the e-strategy and action plan.
