Question:
To ask the Minister for Social Development for his assessment of the Boiler Replacement Scheme; and what consideration has been given to extending the scheme in 2015.

Answer:

The Boiler Replacement Scheme has been a hugely successful scheme and up to 31 January 18,481 households had installed a new more energy efficient boiler. The scheme has also provided work for over two thousand local installers. In my budget for the 2015/16 year I have allocated £2 million to allow the Boiler Replacement Scheme to be extended into the 2015/16 year.
