Question:
To ask the Minister for Regional Development, in relation to reports of proposed cancellations of twenty town bus services, which towns will be affected; and how the removal of these services will affect older people and people with disabilities.

Answer:

As a result of the additional monies I have secured in the final budget, town services will remain in existence for 2015/16. The bus network will be retained. Nevertheless there will still be the need for Translink to make efficiencies in administration, overhead costs and to review the frequency of some services.

Translink will be consulting locally on the detail of this.
