To ask the Minister of Health, Social Services and Public Safety whether his Department considers minimum staffing levels to be acceptable for the everyday running of the Health Service.

Answer:

It is the responsibility of employing organisations to ensure that staffing levels are consistent with the provision of safe and cost effective patient care.
