Question:
To ask the First Minister and deputy First Minister how many Minority Ethnic Development funded groups are operating without financial reserves, and therefore at risk of issuing redundancies due to the delay in Minority Ethnic Development Funding for 2015/16.

Answer:

Whilst the Minority Ethnic Development Fund provides important support to the sector we would not be able to provide details as to what arrangements individual groups have in place in the daily management of their affairs.

Funding allocations have now been made for the 2015-16 Minority Ethnic Development Fund and all applicants were informed in early May. Successful groups can expect funding to be backdated to the beginning of the financial year on proof of spend thus minimising any financial impact on them.
