Question:
To ask the Minister of Education how many groups funded by his Department’s Early Years fund has he visited in the last 12 months.

Answer:

I had not received an invitation to visit any of the groups that have been supported by the Early Years Fund prior to my decision to reduce the budget for the Fund therefore I have not visited any of the groups in the last 12 months.

As previously advised this decision was taken in light of the significantly reduced money available for Education services as a result of the Executive’s Budget having been reduced by the Westminster Government by £1.5bn over the last five years.
