To ask the Minister of Finance and Personnel to detail the number of temporary agency staff and temporary contract workers employed by the Northern Ireland Civil Service, for financial year between 2008 and 2015 in posts requiring (i) a graduate certificate and (ii) a postgraduate qualification.

Answer:

The information requested is not held centrally for all departments therefore, this answer relates to DFP only.

From the information available, the Department of Finance and Personnel has employed 377 temporary agency staff for financial years between 2008 and 2015 in posts requiring a graduate certificate.

None of the posts filled by agency staff required a postgraduate qualification. Postgraduate qualifications may be accepted as an addition but is not an essential requirement.
