Question:
To ask the Minister of Health, Social Services and Public Safety to detail how his Department is collaborating with other Departments to meet the needs of adults with learning difficulties and disabilities.

Answer:
Services for people with a Learning Disability are being delivered in line with the targets set by the Bamford Action Plan 2012-2016 which is being delivered in partnership by a number of departments. An Inter-Ministerial group meets regularly to oversee the implementation of the Bamford Review Recommendations.
This Inter Departmental co-operation has benefited people with a learning disability in a number of important ways, including: the Community Integration Programme which has resulted in appropriate housing and support being made available for many of the people successfully resettled from learning disability hospitals between 2007 and 2015; and the Day Opportunities Model for Learning Disability which aims to increase the range of options for people with a learning disability in their day care services.
