Question:
To ask the Minister for Regional Development to detail the number of people who (i) are eligible for; and (ii) travel using a 60 plus smartpass, broken down by constituency.

Answer:

The eligibility criteria for the 60+ SmartPass is that an applicant meets both the age requirement of 60 and over and that they are a permanent resident of Northern Ireland.

The number of people using a 60+ SmartPass is not available by constituency however as at the 31 March 2015 a total of 62,754 active 60+ SmartPasses were in circulation. In 2014/15 a total of 56,938 individuals used their 60+ SmartPass.
