Question:
To ask the Minister of Culture, Arts and Leisure what funding is available for the North West Social and Economic Development Programme in 2015/2016.

Answer:

The North West Socio Economic Development Programme 2014/ 15 sought to strategically extend DCAL’s impact across the wider North West with a focus on enhancing capacity, building networks and embedding sustainability in Coleraine, Limavady, Strabane and their rural surrounds.

As this funding was allocated in the 2014/ 15 financial year only, the Programme had a key emphasis on sustainability, with interventions designed to create lasting impacts and deliver outcomes for communities long after the funding expenditure period ended on 31 March 2015.

A bid has been submitted in the June Monitoring Round to support continuation of successful projects and outcomes in 2015/16.
