Question:
To ask the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development whether a scoring mechanism has been confirmed for projects making applications to the Rural Development Fund 2014-2020.

Answer:

The Rural Development Programme 2014 – 2020 is not yet approved by the European Commission and as such, the method for the selection of applications for the various schemes within the Programme have not yet been formally agreed. Selection criteria or scoring mechanisms for schemes will be specific for each scheme and will be finalised prior to the opening of the scheme. There is also an EU regulatory requirement for the selection criteria to be brought to the Programme Monitoring Committee for consideration.
