Question: To ask the Minister for Regional Development what action is being taken to remedy flooding at Greenisland Railway Station.
Answer:
Translink has advised me that all of the local station drains including a large storm sewer have been opened up and cleaned out to ensure that maximum flows can be achieved. CCTV investigations of the drains are being undertaken to ensure that there are no blockages or collapses in the vicinity of the station which might prevent the water from getting away and Translink is also seeking to make contact with the relevant authorities to progress a study of the drainage capacity in the area.
