To ask the Minister of Health, Social Services and Public Safety for his assessment of the spare capacity within (i) private; and (ii) statutory care homes since January 2015.


Answer:
The Health and Social Care Board monitors the residential and nursing home vacancy position on a six monthly basis. The vacancy position in the two most recent reports for independent and statutory sector beds across all programmes of care is set out in the table below:
