To ask the Minister of the Environment whether his Department has undertaken an Environmental Impact Assessment regarding the marine impact of the proposed compressed air storage scheme near Islandmagee.

Answer:

The Department has not yet received a planning application for this development. Following pre-application discussions, the Department is aware that any forthcoming application will be accompanied by a full environmental statement.
