To ask the Minister of Health, Social Services and Public Safety to detail how he plans to increase transparency and understanding of the Individual Funding Request process for patients and their families.

Answer:

The revised guidance following the reforms to the Individual Funding Request process that I announced in my statement to the Assembly on 8 December will increase transparency and understanding of the process for patients and their families. My Department will publish the revised guidance during 2016 as soon as the development work on this has been completed.
