Question: To ask the Minister for Infrastructure when the Loughdoo, Tullymally, Dunevely and Drumarden Roads on the Ards Peninsula will be repaired.
Answer:
I can advise the Member that my Department’s TransportNI operate a cyclic routine inspection regime on all adopted roads including those referred to in her question. A reduced level of maintenance service is currently being implemented by TransportNI due to budgetary constraints. As a consequence only the highest priority defects are being repaired across the entire road network. I can confirm that Loughdoo Road was inspected recently and a number of recordable defects were noted for repair under the current reduced level of service. I understand that these defects have now been repaired. The other roads referred to by the Member are not due to be routinely inspected for another three months and any recordable defects will be repaired thereafter.
