To ask the Minister of Education what is the religious balance required for a Jointly Managed School.

Answer:

There is no minimum religious balance requirement for a jointly managed school - this is considered on a case by case basis. In most cases a jointly managed school will be established as a result of the amalgamation of a controlled and a Catholic maintained school and will be reflective of the religious breakdown of the constituent schools.
