Question:
To ask the Minister of Justice pursuant to AQO 650/16-21, to outline any arrangements to monitor and evaluate the impact of programmes that receive funding from her Department.

Answer:

The Tackling Paramilitarism Programme Board is responsible for deciding on allocations of funding for programmes in support of the Executive action plan. To be clear, funding is held centrally and allocated on the advice of the Programme Board, it is not allocated by my Department.

The Programme Board will receive regular updates on progress and expenditure. Individual projects will be responsible for ensuring effective project evaluation mechanisms are in place to allow them to report back to the Board.

The Board are also giving consideration to the commissioning of an independent evaluation to assess the overall impact of the action plan.
