To ask the Minister of Health for an update on developing a compensation scheme for those people who contacted HIV, Haemophilia or Hepatitis C through the administering of unscreened blood prior to 1991.

Answer:

I have adopted a set of reforms to the financial support for people who have been infected or affected by contaminated NHS blood or blood products. Details of the reforms are set out in my Written Statement of 22 December 2016.
