To ask the First Minister and deputy First Minister to outline (i) any discussions with the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland regarding the enactment of legislation to fulfil the reforms agreed in New Decade, New Approach in relation to the Petition of Concern; and (ii) when these reforms are expected to take effect.

Answer:

Reform of the operation of the Petition of Concern and the need for any enactment of legislation for this purpose are in the first instance a matter for the Northern Ireland Assembly.
