To ask the Minister of Justice how many victims of human trafficking have successfully claimed compensation under the criminal injury compensation scheme in each of the last five years; and how much money they received from the scheme.

Over the last five years there have been no successful applications from victims of human trafficking under the Criminal Injury Compensation Scheme. There have been a total of 10 applications during this period, eight of which have been denied and two are currently being processed by Compensation Services.
